• Dr. Bonnie Melhart has been named Assistant Provost at Texas Christian University. Responsibilities will include Research and Graduate Studies among other assorted unit oversight.

• George Washington University welcomes Dr. Kim Roddis as the new Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering chairperson

• Mechanical and aerospace engineering professor Adrienne Lavine was elected Academic Senate Vice Chair/Chair-Elect of the UCLA Academic Senate. She will hold this position for one year, then serve as Chair of the Academic Senate the following year.
