	Recent WELI Events WELI Leadership Workshop Held in Conjunction with SWE 2006 National Conference October 12-14, 2006 Kansas City, MO Invitation to Participate Agenda The Women in Engineering Leadership Institute (WELI) and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) have again joined forces to offer a special leadership workshop for talented women engineering faculty poised to assume leadership positions in colleges and universities. The WELI Leadership Workshop was held October 12-14 in conjunction with the 2006 SWE National Conference in Kansas City. Workshop participants enjoyed opportunities to learn essential leadership skills, to establish mentoring relationships, and to cultivate networking prospects. Fall 2006 workshop sessions include Academic Legal issues and Leadership Training.
	News Dr. Mary C. Juhas, currently the Senior Assistant Dean for Diversity and Outreach at The Ohio State University's College of Engineering, accepts a position as Director of Diversity and Outreach for the Engineering Directorate at the National Science Foundation. Dr. Lisa Aultman-Hall has been named the Director of the National University Transportation Center at the University of Vermont. Dr. Janet Hering, an environmental engineering professor at Caltech, has been appointed director for the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG). Dr. Sarah Rajala, a professor and associate dean of N.C. State's College of Engineering, will be the new Department Head of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State's Bagley College of Engineering. more news ........
